Nikki Tamboli shot to fame with her brilliant stint and outspoken personality on the reality show ‘Bigg Boss 14.’ The South actress is now contemplating her Bollywood debut and is waiting for the ‘right opportunity to bang on'. In an exclusive interview with SpotboyE.com, Tamboli revealed that she has declined many film offers as she does not want to do anything in haste. She also spoke about nepotism in the industry and stated she feels more 'privileged' than a star kid.
The Khatron Ke Khiladi 11 contestant shared, “It’s good for me to be not from the industry. I am more privileged for being an outsider. I feel I can be lambi race ka ghoda for sure. Agar aap ko privilege nhi milta toh you work harder to achieve your goal. Because you don’t have any backup if you are an outsider, you have only Plan A i.e to do the hard work. Everybody works hard no doubt all the top actors that we have struggled a lot and have gone through a lot.” She added, “Nepotism is all bullshit. It exists in all the fields. Nikki has turned down the upcoming reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10’ to explore other things. Talking about the same, she said, “Right now I want to explore other things than reality shows. I am reading a lot of scripts for OTT projects and films. So, I thought this year I should give a break to reality shows and explore different things.”
When quizzed about her Bollywood debut plans, Nikki asserted, “I like proper Bollywood masala movies. I have rejected many films as I am waiting for the right opportunity for my acting debut. I have many offers but I want something different and grand opposite a good actor. I am just waiting for the right opportunity to bang on. I don’t want to do anything in haste. I believe slow and steady wins the race.”
Tamboli started her career as a model. In 2019, she made her acting debut with the Telugu horror comedy film Chikati Gadilo Chithakotudu. Post this she appeared in several South films but she gained popularity after she appeared in Bigg Boss 14.
